Menuhin Festival Vocal Academy 2026

Starting in 2026, the Vocal Academy, led by world-renowned baritone Thomas Hampson, will establish a new international forum for young singers. At its core lies the artistic development of outstanding talent in opera and song. Masterclasses, individual coaching, and collective reflection come together to create an intensive training experience that culminates in public concerts as part of the Menuhin Festival Gstaad.

For eight selected singers and one song duo, the Vocal Academy offers a week-long program that combines daily work on interpretation, expression, and stage presence with inspiring exchange and two public performances.


In 2015, the Vocal Academy took place in collaboration with the Conducting Academy and selected participants were given the exceptional opportunity to perform with the Gstaad Festival Orchestra in the final concert.
